1.Driver’s License & Identification

All renters and any additional drivers must meet the following identification requirements:
Form of ID 1: A valid U.S. or international driver’s license (must be physical, not expired, and not a temporary or learner’s permit).
Form of ID 2: One of the following:
Valid Passport
Major Credit Card
Bank-issued Debit Card with your name printed
ClutchWhip Rentals reserves the right to verify the identity and driving history of all renters and may perform additional verification at our discretion.

2.Verification at Booking or Check-In

At the time of booking or vehicle pick-up, renters must provide:
A clear selfie holding their driver’s license
A valid photo ID
Proof of active auto insurance (if using your own policy)
A valid U.S. or international driver’s license is required. Temporary licenses are not accepted. ClutchWhip Rentals reserves the right to verify the identity and driving history of all renters.
We require a valid photo ID, proof of insurance, and a selfie with your ID at the time of booking or check-in.

3. Insurance Requirements

All renters must provide proof of full coverage insurance with liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage that extends to rental vehicles. If you do not have an eligible policy, we may offer a commercial rental insurance option for an additional fee.

4. Payment, Deposits & Credit Card Policy

The total rental fee is collected at the time of rental. The shortest rental period is 72 hours, and in case of delay, 1/3 of the fee is charged for each additional hour. Delays exceeding 3 hours in total are calculated as a full day. A deposit is required from a valid credit card.● A valid credit or debit card is required to book and hold any reservation.

A security deposit is required on all rentals. The amount varies by vehicle type and driver history. Deposits are fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on time, in good condition, with no damage or violations.
We reserve the right to charge the card on file for any damage, late return, unpaid tolls, fuel discrepancy, or cleaning fees.

5. Fuel Policy

Fuel type varies by vehicle (premium, regular, electric). It is the renter’s responsibility to confirm the required fuel type at pick-up. A fee will be charged for:
Refueling at return (if not returned at same level)
Using the incorrect fuel type (including diesel or lower-octane gas)
Electric vehicles (EVs) must be returned with at least 70% battery unless otherwise arranged.

6. Mileage Allowance

Daily mileage allowance varies by vehicle and will be clearly stated at the time of booking. Exceeding the included mileage will result in per-mile overage fees outlined in your rental agreement.

7. Booking Duration

ClutchWhip Rentals offers the following booking durations:
Half-day rentals (where available)
Daily rentals (24 hours)
Weekly rentals (7 days)
Monthly rentals
Early returns do not qualify for a refund unless previously approved.

8. Vehicle Pick-Up & Drop-Off

All vehicles must be picked up and returned to our verified addresses:
Los Angeles: 648 S. Flower Street, Downtown LA
San Francisco: Location provided after booking
Delivery is available at an additional fee (hotel, airport, residence). Please schedule in advance.

9. Tolls, Tickets, and Traffic Violations

The renter is fully responsible for all tickets, tolls, and violations incurred during the rental period. Unpaid violations will be billed with a processing fee.

10. Late Return Policy

Late returns are subject to additional hourly charges. A 30-minute grace period is allowed. Vehicles returned over 2 hours late without notice may be subject to full-day charges.

11. Prohibited Uses

ClutchWhip Rentals strictly prohibits the following:
Racing, off-roading, or track use
Smoking or vaping inside any vehicle
Transport of illegal substances
Allowing unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle
Exceeding speed limits or reckless driving Violation of any of the above will result in termination of the rental and forfeiture of the deposit.

12. Vehicle Condition & Cleanliness

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition they were delivered. Charges may apply for:
Excessive dirt, trash, stains, or spills
Burn marks or smoke odor
Damage to wheels, paint, interior, or custom features

13. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start time are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

14. Vehicle Availability

We reserve the right to substitute your reserved vehicle with a comparable model if the original vehicle is unavailable due to maintenance, accident, or prior renter delays. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer equal or better value.

15. Safety & Tracking

For your safety and ours, all vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and immobilization (kill switch) technology.

15. Final Agreement

By renting from ClutchWhip Rentals, you agree to comply with all terms above and sign a digital or physical rental agreement prior to vehicle delivery or pickup.
